All paths have led to here—

—It is not by coincidence that we find each other in this time & space, the here & now—I am humbled and honored to be gifted this opportunity to witness and collaborate with you …once again.

From a lineage perspective, Jen remembers witnessing her grandfather perform fire cupping and utilize liniments to manage day-to-day life. She watched her grandmother incorporate food therapy intuitively as she nourished her entire family of refugees. With reverence & desire to more deeply honor and reconnect with her heritage and roots, Chinese medicine seemed a most exciting choice for Jen’s ongoing life’s work. In many ways, this medicine feels like a remembrance, and she is grateful to be here again with you.

Jen is a certified practitioner in Classical Five Element Acupuncture through her apprenticeship with Dr. Brian Bender, a master-level practitioner and teacher with years of embodied experience in this medicine. Classical Five Element is known as the shamanic branch of Taoist medicine, and is a deep layer of healing and wholeness which aligns profoundly with Jen’s spirit. Her treatment style deeply focuses on spiritual and emotional alignment & wellbeing.

When we can see our own spirit clearly, all else falls into alignment within the grand harmony of life.

This style of acupuncture weaves in elemental rebalancing with the body’s innate ability to remember its own wisdom and wholeness. When you experience this particular style of acupuncture, you might notice a stark difference in how the treatment itself focuses on healing at the deepest layer of self, of truth.

In this lifetime, Jen has also overcome her own obstacles of the womb, and has spent time and energy navigating the delicate blend & aid of both Western and Eastern medicines. Faced with a physical history of complex uterine fibroids, which led to several blood transfusions, hospital visits, uterine surgery & planned cesarean delivery—as well as nuanced navigation of all things related to fertility, pregnancy, postpartum & beyond—Jen has a very direct and personal interest in working with all who are on the tender path to healing & loving the Sacred Womb.

EDUCATION + BACKGROUND

Jen is a Doctor of Acupuncture with Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization. She is a double board licensed acupuncturist through the state of California (CAB) as well as nationally (NCCAOM), and she earned her Doctorate and Master’s degrees at the Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego. Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, Jen earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Marketing with a minor in Chinese language from Arizona State University, where she was also recognized as the convocation speaker and outstanding graduating senior.

Previously, Jen worked in investment management, and although her experience in the corporate world offered insight and perspective, the work itself did not align with her spirit, leading to the accumulation of disharmony, stagnation, and dis-ease. In pursuit of living a life more aligned and vibrant, Jen ultimately found her way to studying Chinese Medicine. And whilst on the expansive path to here and now, she also found training and practice in yoga therapy, partner acrobatics, music, the Akashic Records, and Quantum Healing Hypnotherapy—all intuitive techniques which she continues to cultivate and weave throughout her life as well as her treatments.

Through her doctorate program, Jen also had the unique opportunity to gain experience in diverse clinical and hospital settings which include: Rady Children’s Hospital, UCSD Neurology, and TopKare Hospice.

Jen also holds a certification in Facial Acupuncture for Cosmetic Enhancement (FACE) through Pacific College of Health and Science. With facial acupuncture, there is focus on rejuvenation and boosting vitality—promoting graceful aging as it is expressed through our appearance, facial skin, and embodiment of our unique inner beauty.
